Adara Group launches the Adara Newborn Training Programme

By admin August 3, 2025

Across the world, too many small and sick newborns are dying simply because healthcare workers lack the tools and training to care for them.

However, when healthcare workers are well-trained and supported, they become more grounded and empowered to deliver high-quality, lifesaving care.

The Adara Group has launched the Adara Newborn Training Programme, a new initiative designed to equip health professionals in resource-limited settings with the essential skills to care for small and sick newborns.

Why this programme matters

In many low-resource health facilities, nurses and midwives are  without access to up-to-date training.

The Adara Newborn Training Programme offers a practical, scalable solution equipping nurses and midwives with the core skills needed to deliver effective quality care, even in the most challenging environments.

What’s inside the programme?

This newly launched programme focuses on foundational care, practical bedside skills, and simplified learning to improve newborn outcomes. It includes scenarios and activities to help healthcare workers learn and practice their skills.

  • 20 modules on key newborn care topics
  • Flexible format for in-service training – modules can be delivered individually or as a full series
  • Covers practical care techniques and managing common complications in resource-limited setting

It is designed to complement the WHO Essential Newborn Care (ENC) Courses 1 and 2, while focusing on practical, real-world application.
