Countdown 2030 Uganda Team Honoured with Research Poster Award for Excellence in Evidence Communication

Great research changes lives, but its greatest impact comes when evidence is translated into messages that people can understand, trust, and act upon.

The Countdown 2030 Uganda team has been recognized with the Research Poster Award at the 2026 Countdown to 2030 Country Annual Meeting, celebrating excellence in communicating research evidence in a clear, engaging, and impactful way.

The award was received by Ronald Wasswa, Research Associate at Makerere University School of Public Health, Ogwal Jimmy, and Bruno Ssemwanga from the Ministry of Health. Countdown 2030 Uganda team is led by Prof. Peter Waiswa  from the MNCH Centre .

The award was presented by Dr. Cheikh Mbacké Faye in recognition of Uganda’s outstanding contribution to evidence communication for maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health.

ACT-PREP Invites Applications for PhD and Postdoctoral Fellowships

The ACT-PREP Consortium, funded under the HORIZON-JU-GH-EDCTP3 programme, invites applications for 15 PhD and 10 Postdoctoral Research Fellowships in clinical trials and epidemic preparedness and response
